Items in 2Moons
In 2Moons, you’ll find a variety of items, ranging from weapons and armor to potions, jewelery and other special items. You can also increase the effectiveness of some items in various ways, including adding magic to socketed items, using the socket refinement to add sockets, and level upgrades to increase the power of your weapons.
Kinds of Items
Armor
Armor is designed for each part of the body, including legs, hands, torso, feet, and head. Armor increases your character’s defense, but magical armor may also increase your physical or elemental attack power/defense.
Weapons
There are more than a dozen different weapon types, including daggers, swords, great swords, axes, great axes, bows, crossbows, staffs, wands, shields, maces, great maces, twin swords and hand weapons such as the cestus. All weapons increase your character's attack power, while some are required to use specific skills. Magical weapons and those enhanced through slot additions can offer extra power and effects. Weapons can also be upgraded to be even more powerful.
Rings and Necklaces
Rings are worn to increase your character's abilities such as attack power, physical/magic power or elemental defense against fire, ice, lightning, poison, or curse attacks.
Socket Items
Socket Items can be inserted into sockets in weapons to increase attack power, or in armor to increase defense.
Fortifying Item Fortifying Items are used to increase armor defense abilities or weapon attack power.
Disposables and others
You may collect and use many other items, which are destroyed when used, such as Health and Mana potions, arrows, bolts, return scrolls and others..
Item Options and Kinds of Items
There are five classifications of weapons and armor in 2Moons: normal, magic, noble, divine noble, and legend, in addition to socketed and upgraded items:

Applying Items to Sockets
If a piece of armor or a weapon has empty sockets, you can upgrade that item.
1. Click on the socket item, and drop the item on the item with free sockets.
2. A window with title, ''Item Fortification'' will appear. It will ask ''Would you like to fortify the item?'' Press “Confirm” to complete the process.
Elemental Impacts of Socket Combination
When you fill the sockets on an item all with items of the same elemental property (ice, fire, lightning, poison, and curse) the item will glow with a color associated with that element.
How to Give Impacts
- Although each weapon is different, the maximum number of sockets for weapons is four.
- To obtain the elemental effect, you must fill all available slots with items of the same elemental property. If you mix different elemental properties, no special effect will be displayed.
- Shields have maximum number of four sockets, but shields with 3 sockets can also display elemental effects.
- Wands of lower quality can have a maximum number of two sockets, and can display elemental effects if both are filled. Higher classes of wands can have up to three sockets, and all must be filled to display elemental effects.
Maximum Number of Sockets
Max Socket Number Weapons
2 Dagger, Wand
3 Sword, Axe, Mace, Twin Sword, Wand, Shield
4 Great Sword, Great Axe, Bow, Crossbow, Staff, Shield, Great Mace, Gauntlet
Item Upgrades
Argate System
Argate stones are very special items that you can use to further improve your weapons and armor. To do so:
1. Visit an Alchemist in either castle and select ''I would like to fortify a socket''.
2. In the item section of the fortification window, insert the item you wish to upgrade. In the ingredient section, insert the Argate item.
3. If you want to increase your chance of success, place normal socket items in the other slots. Each item you add will increase the chance of success by a small percentage, up to a maximum of percent.
4. When you press ''Fortify'' the progress window will appear.
5. If the upgrade is successful, you’ll see the ''Upgrade Success!'' message. If the upgrade fails, the message will read, ''Upgrade Failed!''
- Minimum requirements for upgrading are: an item (weapon or armor), an ingredient (Argate) and DIL.
- Higher upgrades will cost more DIL and the chance of failure will also increase.
- If the upgrade fails, the Argate will be destroyed and item’s level will drop to 0. However, socketed items and their attributes will remain unchanged.
- You can upgrade an item up to level 9 (+9). Higher levels require different Argates:
Copper Argate: Upgrade +1 through +3 (High chance of success)
Silver Argate: Upgrade +4 through +6 (Lower chance of success)
Gold Argate: Upgrade +7 through +9 (Much lower chance of success)
